Hello Justin,
This course is independent of the ASHRAE BEMP Certification Exam, although the material taught in the course will overlap with some of the topics that may be tested in ASHRAE's BEMP Certification Exam.
The course focuses on best practices for building energy modeling, rather than providing training that would be specific to a particular simulation tool. The topics that are covered in the course and the intended audience are listed at http://www.ibpsa.us/workshops.shtml

Do you have a detailed syllabus and an intended audience that you can share? Will this be specific to any particular simulation tools, or focused on generic best practices?
Can anybody chime in on their experience with the workshop?
