Two fully funded building performance simulation PhD projects are currently available at Eindhoven University of Technology. These are part of the just started Dutch research programme "Climate Proof Cities" which involves a large number of universities and research institutes. The aim of this programme is to generate knowledge that is necessary for adapting the built environment in order to cope with future climate change.

The projects in our group are:

 * Impacts of climate change on the indoor environment and energy consumption - the focus is on further development of high-resolution whole-building simulation (combination of building energy simulation, building envelope heat-air-moisture transfer models and computational fluid dynamics models) and application of these models to predict indoor environmental parameters and energy consumption.

 * Climate change adaptation measures: adaptive buildings and occupants - the focus is on adapting the building envelope and incorporating user behaviour in the above high-resolution whole-building simulation models.

Please don't hesitate to contact me for further information.

I would appreciate it very much if you could forward this message to potential applicants.

Thanks in advance!
