Usually the attic is ventillated. I assume it to be a partition load , just to be on the safe side.<br><br><br>

<p class="MsoNormal">If you have an unconditioned attic space not functioning as a plenum, is it correct to model the roof and ceiling as one layer? That is, can you assume all heat gain / loss through the roof is also transmitted to / from the space? I would assume not since air is an insulator, however treating the ceiling as a partition & guessing the attic temperatures at outside design extremes is too much of a wild guess in my opinion.</p>
