[Hap-users] Thru-wall AC + Radiant Heating on HAP

Hi Everyone,

I am working on an Energy Model of a residential project for LEED Submission. The Mechanical design have thru-wall AC for cooling and Radiant heating vents for heating.

I am using (Packaged DX Fan Coil) system for the spaces in order to calculate the heating load on the boilers but HAP calculates the fan power associated with the system, however in actual design the AC fans will not be running during the heating season. This extra power is lowering our design efficiency.

Any idea of a better way to design this while getting the load of (Cooling - Fan Power) during the cooling season and only (Heating Load) by avoiding the fan power for over 3000+ hours annually? Just to reflect the proposed design.

Thank you in advance,
Khaled Fouda, LEED GA
