[Hap-users] District Cooling as Additional Plant

Hi All,
I am new to HAP and using the 4.9 version to model (energy analysis) a commercial building with 3 water cooled chillers to serve the 5 level retail spaces and 5 chillers to serve the multi-level office spaces located on top of the retail spaces. The chillers are sized to partly meet the total cooling load with the balance of the load to be served from an existing chiller plant adjacent to the proposed building. I already set up the model with the 3 + 5 chillers and getting a lot of unmet hours as expected. I tried the remote chiller plant as additional plant and linked all the systems of the conditioned spaces (not sure if this is the correct way). The simulation result is not showing the effect of the remote plant, i.e., looks like it is ignored by the program. My question is: is this set up of combining remote chiller plant with the building chiller plant allowed in HAP? If not, is there a way or workaround to implement this configuration? Any suggestion or guidance is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Daniel
