That's right. I also do the same. Further, if you know the total wall area then no need to model the window size. Keep it 1 ft x 1 ft and then take number of windows equal to the wall area. It may reduce some calculations and efforts.

Hi
In a building where the entire exterior is a glass fa?ade (curtain wall), what is the best way to enter data into the HAP. Literally no exterior walls, only glass.

Some additional details on my previous post (curtain wall):
A) the distance between floors is 10.66 ft and the ceiling is a 8 ft.
B) the return air is by plenum, and
C) the curtain wall may be divided into modules 10.66 ft (H) by 5.25 ft (W), include aluminun frame.

I always just enter in a wall matching the dimensions of the curtain wall then add a window or group of windows that total to the same area as the wall. Then HAP subtracts out the wall, so it shouldn't matter what the wall construction is.
