I think you’re misunderstanding me. I am using HAP version 4.6.1 and am well aware of the rotate building option and rotate space option. What I’m talking about is a new LEED documentation requirement. The HAP LEED Summary Report only lists the total wall area and glass area. The new LEED documentation requires this total to be broken down to total wall area and glass area facing North, total wall area and glass area facing East, and so on… I was asking if anyone knew of a way to get HAP to tell me this, but I’ve heard from the software developer and HAP’s tech support that this feature is not currently available, but it sounds like it will be added in the future at least. So I have the answer to my question. My additional comments were for the benefit of the community to be informed about this new LEED documentation requirement. Regards, Matt ScottN.E. Subject: Re: [Hap-users] Total Wall area for each orientationThe new spreadsheet has instructions that say to enter the area for the North-facing or nearest North-facing, East-facing or nearest East-facing and so on… So I guess it’s up to us to divvy up all of our Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, and Northwest-facing exposures however we see fit or whichever way works out to meeting the LEED restrictions of how much glass area you’re allowed on each exposure. Subject: RE: Total Wall area for each orientation Area by orientation. That’s new since the last project I did. The LEED spreadsheet only has rows for the four cardinal directions. What about northeast facing walls? I don’t suppose we could overwrite the formula and just enter the total . . . Sadly, I don’t know of any way to get the wall area per orientation. I will be using your approach of the space inputs and a spreadsheet. ~Reba From: hap-users-bounces at lists.onebuilding.org [mailto:hap-users-bounces at lists.onebuilding.org] On Behalf Of Matthew Scott

Subject: [Hap-users] Total Wall area for each orientation The new LEED section 1.4 Tables ask for the total area for each 90 degree orientation, as well as the total glass area on each orientation. Is there a quick way to get this info in HAP or is the only way to look at each space input and manually total it up? Matt ScottN.E.
