[Family] Reunion

I agree w/Judy & Mario for summer 2022.

Thoughts for consideration by Nurse Sheri:
1) It’s probable that not every one of us, especially our healthy 30-40-ish
yr-old adult children & our grandchildren, will have been fully vaccinated
or vaccinated @ all by mid-June.
2) who knows if some in our Family may choose not to get the vaccine?
3) Family members likely practice different ways of staying “safe”, that
may not work for other family members-especially those who’ve not yet been
vaccinated by then. Will people agree to 100% self-Quarantine for 2 wks
prior to reunion if that’s what will make people feel most comfortable?
4) Right now it seems like @ least those family members @ high risk SHOULD
be vaccinated fully well before June. However, no one knows what can happen
with manufacturing/distributing/etc of the vaccines between now &
then-despite all the great predictions.
5) we’re talking about 35-45/so family inside (& outside) 1 big house,
sharing a pool/ showers/food/utensils/etc about 6 months from now. It’s
unclear how many will be vaccinated, what some people’s health condition
will be @ that time, whose kids go to school or camp with others/daycare/or
play with neighbors, who goes for haircuts & nails to salons, etc.

I recognize that I personally follow CDC guidelines strictly; that’s what
works for me. I’m not trying to be a Debbie-Downer-I’m just trying to be
realistic by sharing some food for thought. We ALL want to be together,
we’re chomping @ the bit-there’s no question of that. But I encourage
everyone to think about these things before committing.

In fact, I will be the 1st to say it: right now, per above & possibly
other issues not even known @ this time, I do not feel comfortable or
“safe” enough to commit to attend our 7/3/21 reunion; I hope that can
change by March or April-but we have to decide in a couple wks. Love u all,
Sheri

Take ACTION for HEALTH, Safety, Justice, & Peace - for ALL, Sheri

I am One, but I am only One. I cannot do everything, but I can do
something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the
something that I can do. . . Helen Keller
