<p class="MsoNormal">Sketchbox is a simple, web-based energy modeling tool with common-sense default values we built to provide early design support for our clients. Over the years we’ve added functionality to make it useful throughout the design process, as
well as for retrofits and renovations.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">As of this month, the tool is now available for anyone to use, with free and paid versions. The paid version allows for more complex models, saved projects, and the ability to download the raw DOE2 files for use in eQuest.

<p class="MsoNormal">The interface includes best practice default inputs that respond to changes in modeling parameters. The simplicity makes Sketchbox approachable for less technical users or those without prior experience in energy modeling. To support use
as a simple, quick tool, Sketchbox assumes: <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">• Buildings and shells are rectangular shapes with perimeter and core zoning<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">• Loads are spread evenly throughout spaces<o:p></o:p></p>
