7.5 HP is the rated and nameplate power of the motor. It is a
standard motor size.<br>
4.73 BHP is the power required at the shaft of the fan to move the
quantity of air specified (CFM) at the pressure specified (SP). If
this is how the value was stated, or was it ESP? There are many
more inefficiencies inside the DOAS box.<br>
You are modelling energy flows, BHP is the value you use and it
should correspond to the DOAS units ESP.<br>

units and DOAS in the Proposed design. The DOAS nameplate
motor HP is 7.5 where as the fan absorbed power is 4.73
BHP. If we model 7.5 HP; we are falling short of the
minimum LEED energy performance requirements. Modelling</p>
