You have to remember the DOE engine is an old US program platform
that has been added to and tweaked for a decade or 2. It is in US
units. There is now CanQuest, converted to metric by the NRC in
Canada.
2.5m is 98.424", pretty close to your .84 at 1:100. Importing dwg
files into eQuest you should be drawing at 1:1 scale in inches, full
scale. It might be easier to use your cad program to do the
conversion. Also cad programs can get huge with multiple layers. I
pre process the cad file to simplify everything so it is easier to
snap to the data points you want in the wizard. eQuest is very
picky when it comes to polygon points. Being off 0.01" on a corner
will get you 2 polygons instead of the one you were expecting. This
will cause you huge headaches later.
