<div><strong>The Position and Team:</strong></div>
<div>Steven
Winter Associates, Inc. is seeking an Energy Engineer/Analyst II to
support the firm’s Sustainable Building Services group. The position
provides whole-building energy analysis to support systems optimization,
LEED certification, energy code compliance and compliance with energy
efficiency incentive programs for multifamily buildings in the region.
The primary focus of this position is whole-building energy modeling
under ASHRAE 90.1 Energy Cost Budget and Performance Rating Method
protocols. </div>

<div><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></div>
<div>The
successful candidate will work on commercial new construction and
gut-renovation projects, and must be able to perform the following
tasks: </div>
<div><ul><li><span style="line-height: normal;">Articulate
building science principles and green building program requirements to a
project team as well as recommendations and results of energy
analyses. </span></li><li><span style="line-height: normal;">Effectively communicate in written and spoken English. </span></li><li><span style="line-height: normal;">Review of architectural and mechanical drawings and specifications & prepare energy plan review reports</span></li><li><span style="line-height: normal;">Identify energy saving and green building measures to maximize performance if existing designs</span></li><li><span style="line-height: normal;">Create energy simulations and analyses using eQUEST and/or EnergyPlus</span></li><li><span style="line-height: normal;">Analyze costs and benefits associated with energy efficiency measures </span></li><li><span style="line-height: normal;">Revise energy models and/or analyses to reflect as-built conditions using field data.</span></li><li><span style="line-height: normal;">Complete program documentation and respond to review comments</span></li></ul></div>

<div><strong>Required Skills and Experience</strong></div>
<div>The role requires a self-starter able to work independently in a large office environment.</div>

</div>
<div><strong>Relevant Industry Skills:</strong></div>
<div><ul><li><span style="line-height: normal;">Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture</span></li><li><span style="line-height: normal;">2 to 4 years’ consecutive work experience </span></li><li><span style="line-height: normal;">Working knowledge of high performance systems and energy efficiency</span></li><li><span style="line-height: normal;">Experience working on green building projects that have either achieved or pursued LEED certification and incentive programs. </span></li></ul></div>

<div><strong>Required technical knowledge:</strong></div>
<div><ul><li><span style="line-height: normal;">ASHRAE Standards 90.1, 62.1, and 62.2</span></li><li><span style="line-height: normal;">Commercial & Residential HVAC systems and design</span></li><li><span style="line-height: normal;">ENERGY STAR Multifamily High-Rise, State and Local Utility incentive programs</span></li><li><span style="line-height: normal;">Cost estimating</span></li></ul></div>
