Zara zhou's question is how to distribute a central PV generation to each building. However, all the answers are how to calculate PV generation.<br><br/><div style="font-size:12px;padding:2px 0;">---原始邮件---</div><div style="font-size:12px;background:#f0f0f0;color:#212121;padding:8px!important;border-radius:4px;line-height:1.5;"><div><b>发件人:</b> "Sharad Kumar"<sharadcapricious@gmail.com></div><div><b>发送时间:</b> 2015年11月22日 09:01:14</div><div><b>收件人:</b> "equest-users"<equest-users@lists.onebuilding.org>;</div><div><b>主题:</b> Re: [Equest-users] Central PV system contribution to singlebuilding?</div></div><br/><div dir="ltr"><div><font color="#0000ff">Hi Zhouzarah,</font></div><div><font color="#0000ff"><br/></font></div><div><font color="#0000ff">I have done some calculations as per my understanding.</font></div><div><font color="#0000ff">I have done certain assumptions like:</font></div><div><font color="#0000ff">1.  Solar PV area and </font></div><div><font color="#0000ff">2.  Number of months for solar insolation in India.</font></div><div><font color="#0000ff">Insolation is nothing but the direct solar radiation energy per PV sq. meter per day.It can be over the ground surface  also.</font></div><div><font color="#0000ff">For India the average insolation can be from 4 to 6.5 kWh/ sq. meter/ day.</font></div><div><font color="#0000ff">It varies from country to country.</font></div><div style="display:inline-block"></div><div><span style="display:inline-block; background: #eee; padding: 3px 5px; line-height:1.5; font-size: 12px; color: #999">原文图片</span><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><font color="#0000ff">Total solar energy generated as electricity per year = Solar insolation (kWh/ sq. meter/ day)X solar PV area X total number of days for proper solar insolation X efficiency of the the solar PV cell.</font></div><div><font color="#0000ff">The efficiency of solar PV varies from 8 to 13 %age for mono crystalline to poly crystalline PV</font></div><div><font color="#0000ff">Hence i have done the calculations.</font></div><div><font color="#0000ff">Even IES-VE has the module to have the solar PV calculations.</font></div><div><font color="#0000ff">This energy can be deducted from the proposed case energy consumption to have the savings.</font></div><div><font color="#0000ff"><br/></font></div><div><font color="#0000ff"><br/></font></div><div><font color="#0000ff">Thanks,</font></div><div><font color="#0000ff">Sharad.Kumar</font></div><div><font color="#0000ff">Green Horizon Consulting LLP</font></div><div><font color="#0000ff">Gurgaon</font></div><div><font color="#0000ff">India.</font></div><div><font color="#0000ff"><br/></font></div><div><div class="gmail_extra"><div class="gmail_quote"><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left-width:1px;border-left-color:rgb(204,204,204);border-left-style:solid;padding-left:1ex"><br/>---------- Forwarded message ----------<br/>From: zhouzarah <<a href="mailto:zarahzhou@hotmail.com" target="_blank">zarahzhou@hotmail.com</a>><br/>To: "<a href="mailto:equest-users@lists.onebuilding.org" target="_blank">equest-users@lists.onebuilding.org</a>" <<a href="mailto:equest-users@lists.onebuilding.org" target="_blank">equest-users@lists.onebuilding.org</a>><br/>Cc: <br/>Date: Fri, 20 Nov 2015 02:10:45 +0000<br/>Subject: [Equest-users] Central PV system contribution to single building‏<br/>
<div><div dir="ltr"><span>Dear eQuesters,</span><div><br/></div><div>I am working on a LEED certification for one building in an industry park. The park has a solar PV system serving several buildings. So I do not think I can simulate the PV systems directly in eQUEST to get its share to the LEED target building.  My question is how to estimate the PV generated electricity to my building? Should I prorate the PV electricity based on those buildings' energy use, or there is a better way to do the calculation/estimation in the design phase? Any comment is appreciated!</div><div><br/></div><div>Best regards,</div><div><br/></div><div>Zarah</div> </div></div>
