<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-CA">An example would be say in a giving month, the bldg. uses 4,880 kWh and has a demand of 20.6 kW. The total kWh applied to the higher rate ($0.01593/kWh) would be 20.6 kW multiplied by 200 hours, or 4,120 kWh. The total
kWh applied to the lower rate would then be 4,880 kWh minus 4,120 kWh, or 760 kWh.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
