their lower left hand corners at the building origin of 0,0 that I would like
to combine using the Import function. To do this, I need to move one building
origin point from 0,0 to 200, 0. I thought that setting the same latitude and
longitude for both buildings and then setting the YREF and XREF distances to
200, 0 on one building would do the trick, but it seems not. I get error
messages and the 3D view clearly shows the buildings on top of each other
because they have the same building origin.<u></u><u></u></span></font></p>

Subject: Re: [Equest-users] How to import 2 eQuest input files with the same origin?<br><div dir="ltr">Kathryn, <div><br></div><div>Unfortunately YREF & XREF are Building Parameters which apply to all floors within a model.  When you import the other building into the first model, only one of the Building Parameters will be in effect.  Since eQUEST thinks all of the floors are part of the same building, there's no way to group them into separate buildings.  Another way to think about this is that the building parameters is defining the origin of the building coordinate system.  You can't have two origins.</div>

<div><br></div><div>I think you're going to have to manually go to each floor and from the other building and change the X, Y values to the appropriate coordinates for whichever building you want to move relative to the other.</div>
