<ul><li class="">Energy Modeling as an Essential Design Tool.</li><li class="">Understand the capabilities of the D0E2.2</li><li class="">Create a building
model using a wizard-template for inputs and switching a detailed edit
mode to refine the model with design details creating a baseline to
work with and analyze.</li><li class="">Setting up Thermal Zones, Exterior and Internal Load input to establish a performance base e.</li><li class="">Learn input strategies for basic HVAC systems.</li></ul>
<p class=""><b>Optional Day 2 Workshop Learning Objectives: (Day His Pre-Requisite)-3rd October 2013:</b></p>
<ul><li class="">Simulation to perform compliance analysis and comparison with baseline building.</li><li class="">Perform system
ECMs (Energy Conservation Measures) for increased energy savings and
alternative simulation strategy (LEED Compliance will be discussed).</li><li class="">Work with basic 10E2.2 reports to verify integrity of simulation results.</li><li class="">Understand how to evaluate results and perform Quality Control checks for "realistic" data.</li>
<li class="">Discussion on selected case studies.</li></ul>
<b><span class="">Participant Requirements:</span></b><br>
<span class=""><i>Personal Laptop with Windows OS (Mac OS is not workable) and a mouse. We will help with the installation of eQuest </i>v. <i>3.64.</i></span><br>

Sustainable M & E Engineering and a decade in LEED Facilitation,
Mario has delivered 3 iconic LEED Green Buildings in the Middle East and
Asia. With specialization in Sustainable HVAC Design, Construction,
Operations and Maintenance, his passion has led him to integrate many
features to achieve energy and water conservation in numerous
residential, industrial and commercial buildings. Mario is a Founder and
Past Secretary of the Emirates Green Building Council and has also served
as Secretary to the World Green Building Council. He was also a Member of
the USGBC LEED Version 1 Development Commit-tee and continues to
Advocate and Deliver Green Projects around the globe. With a practice
based in Dubai, Mario has by now trained hundreds of professionals from
dozens of organizations within the region on LEED and Natural Resource
Conservation. He is currently involved in actualizing a number of Net
Zero Energy Projects, the next level of Sustainable Building Design and

7 year HVAC Design Engineer turned Energy Engineer and Modeler who
specializes in energy simulation of buildings, especially those
that aspire to become LEED Certified. Through energy modeling,in addition
to his HVAC system design capabilities and being a LEED AP, It is also
his task to make sure that the project is energy code and standard
compliant and pushes the efficiency of the system to the highest
possible. Other than mechanical systems, he has already crossed the
boundary of electrical systems such as lighting and low voltage power in relation to building energy consumption. He has be entrained together
with his energy modeling team to use Visual DOE, eQuest and Design Builder
for Green Technologies energy modeling work and CFD simulation for the
