I would like to account for this energy consumption in a current project, as I have a large amount of piping exposed in a parking garage ceiling and the certification program guidelines I am using, ENERGY STAR MFHR, require modeling heat trace in a proposed model, but not the baseline model. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>I have found the auxiliaries tab for my DHW loop, which provides the following description from the eQUEST help file:<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;margin-left:.5in'><b><i><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'>LOOP-AUX-KW<o:p></o:p></span></i></b></p><p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;margin-left:.5in'><i><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'>The auxiliary electrical load associated with this loop. The value entered should be the maximum (design) value. Hourly values are adjusted by the LOOP-AUX-SCH. This electrical load may be associated with controls, heat tracing on a pipe, or similar uses. I have not used a schedule TYPE=MULTIPLIER before, and I would like to be able to adjust the load based on outside temperature.
