i think a little clarification would help. as far as i can tell:<br>

is the water heating system in place because 1) the building has
been built & is being claimed for 179d as part of a new
construction partially or fully qualifying building or 2) is it in
place because the building is being renovated?<br>
<br>
if it is in place due to 1) above then you should be using part B,
if it is in place due to 2) above then you should be using part A if
it is not being touched.<br>
<br>
don't forget the minimum requirements in 179d & the nrel
guidelines 40467.pdf (just google it if you don't have it) are for
90.1-2001 and unless documented separately the loads and schedules
are per the nrel appendix c (c<span style="font-size: 9.000000pt;
font-family: 'ArialMT'">alifornia Nonresidential ACM Approval
Manual Tables N2-2 and N2-3)</span><br>
