is not written with the number of cores in mind. It is a math and
logic set of instructions which progress linearly start to
finish. Intel and AMD write the instruction sets which route and
stream the data through their core(s)</font>.<font size="+1"> I
have a dual core CPU running with Win7/64 and no problems with
eQuest. I have run 3.63 on a 98 machine with 256K of RAM, no
problems except you could get a coffee while it ran the sim.<br>
You could still have a hardware problem but I would start with
power and heat. Is your power supply big enough? Are you getting
the heat way from the CPU, some quads produce a lot of heat.
Don't forget the video processor if it is a separate card, heat
and power concerns. Over-clocking magnifies heat and power
problems.<br>
Crashing is a very genetic term. Analyze what happened to
determine if it is the software or the hardware. If it is the
software then you have a mistake in your input. If you have this
problem go to the old forum lists and try to find the solution.
You can use a text editor to open the BDL and INP files for
possible clues. All this is in the archives.<br>

with crashing and one of the ideas I’ve had is that my Quad 4
processor
