<font size="+1">This is not the spot to be considering your control
method. There will be very little difference in efficiency at
this point. The critical point to consider is when the first
chiller is at 100% and you are bringing the second one on line.
The program default is probably the correct method. You have to
look at the part load curves of the chillers and decide what your
split is going to be based on the efficiencies and at what point
the second chiller can to run at at the bottom end. You may find
the lead chiller has to drop to say, 75% so your second chiller
can operate at 25%. Efficiency may dictate a different split on
start up and a varying split as your load ramps up.</font> <font
size="+1">You might need to get your lead chiller back to say 83%,
and then ramp the second chiller to 83%. It all depends on the
equipment and it's part load performance.<br>
