Back to basics: always make sure your system type can accommodate heat recovery, not all can. I did a brief glance at the documentation and could only find VAVS, PSZ and PMZS specifically mentioned. Further looking might reveal that the capability was added to other systems but I'm not sure which.

An alternative might be to make a separate Dummy System (DS) that just treats the portion of air you want to recover heat from. Just make it the return air in your DS.

Carol

On Thu, May 19, 2011 at 2:19 PM, <MattDubrovich@eaton.com> wrote:

Has anybody had any issues with eQuest (3.64) freezing up
when trying to add heat recovery. The system is just a central air
handler/VAV system. When I go to add Heat Recovery it lets me select
which type of device, but just once I select one, it just sits there and thinks
and never recovers. If anyone has had this issue or knows of a fix,
you’re help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
