    for clients who can't or don't need to pay for a full bore eQuest
    analysis.  Also check Hot2.XP, an even lighter version of Hot2000.<br>

    Check out Bildtrad, it is for envelope analysis, wall and window
    analysis.<br>
    For everyone asking questions about foundations and wanting more
    detail on the F factor try BaseCalc.<br>
    Ground heat exchangers, GS2000.<br>
    All courtesy of National Research Council Canada and free.  Most of
    these programs have been in development in excess of 15 years with
    extensive testing and comparison with real buildings.  They are
    apparently also developing a metric version of eQuest.<br>
    There are other programs of interest here as well depending on what
    you are looking to analyze.<br>

                            eQuest to model a single 240 sq. ft.
                            space with a window unit is a bit like using
                            a backhoe to dig a hole for a
                            plant in your flower garden. From a
                            technical perspective, PTAC is the closest
                            thing that comes to a window unit, but as to
                            whether or not you use a heat pump
                            or not is totally dependent upon whether or
                            not you want to analyze your window
                            performance with a PTHP or a PTAC with strip
                            heat. Unless I’m not fully
                            understanding what it is you are trying to
