DOE2.2, like DOE2.1e allows for the Electric Input Ratio for fossil
boilers. The EIR represents boiler components such as a blower
fan. I can't seem to locate the default for HW-BOILER in equest but
for DOE2.1e the default EIR is 0.022. If you don't override the
default you will see Electric Heat in the results. In the equest
Boiler Properties input screen the Electric Input Ratio is at the right
side of the dialog box.

.INP and .PD2 files needs to be looked at. You have SOMETHING set as
electric heat.
Subject: [Equest-users] Unexplained Electric Space Heat

Hi,

I am modeling my design building that contains some AHUs, UHs, CUHs, and
MAUs. All of the heating in the systems comes from 3 hot water
boilers that supply hot water coils in the air-side equipment. The
VAV systems have VAV boxes with hot water reheat coils and there are no
electric resistance heating coils in the building. However when I
simulate the model I get an extremely large space heating load under the
Electric Consumption. Has anyone come across this problem?

Thank you for any ideas or help.
