Rob,

For each PSZ system remove the Heat-Temp-Schedule and Cool-Temp-Schedule from all zones except your control zone, i.e. set them to default. I also notice that your throttling range is only 2 degrees which might be what you have but will also cause unmet hours. This should help.
Pasha,

Unmet hours are determined based on the thermostat set points for the zone and the throttling range. Make sure that you have the correct thermostat set points, throttling ranges, and thermostat types selected for the spaces. These settings need to be compatible with each other and also the zone terminal and parent system types.

Good luck,
Subject: Re: [Equest-users] Unmet hours crisis

I have unmet hours elsewhere in my model currently, and i'm working on lowering them. This space is 217 Sleeping room and its associated toilet room, 217A. the zone labels are Z-217 and Z-217A and both have unconditioned ceiling space above, which has been added in as unconditioned space. The zone is identical to other sleeping rooms, so i can't imagin why one would have unmet hours and the others wouldnt. they are cooling unmet hours as well.
if you can attach your .pd2 & .inp files we can look at your sim and try to help you. Are the hour underheating or undercooling in that core zone you talk about?
I am modeling a patient care facility with a relatively simple structure. the design model went well, and i am currently trying to debug the baseline model. the first floor is more administrative space, exam rooms and kitchen. the second and third floors are sleeping spaces that have identical features. I have modeled each space separately in the model, but the inputs were kept exactly the same by going into the .inp file and cutting and pasting my space and system requirements. however, i have one room in the middle of the second floor that has unmet hours where each other one has none. the thermal loads are exactly the same and i can't figure out anything that it could be. any help or ideas of things to look for would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
