If the objective is to be able to create binary (.bin) weather files
for use in DOE-2, then you definitely need to use the weather file
converter mentioned (or some other custom utility). One thing I seem
to recall about this mechanism is that it is very column sensitive -
meaning the data needs to be lined up properly in fields of a certain
length in order for the text format to get read into the converter in
creating a binary.<br>

If however your objective is simply to be able to see or graph the
weather data contained in the DOE-2 binary weather file, then you can
do this much more easily via eQUEST. Starting with a building model
that references the desired weather file (in the detailed edit mode),
create an hourly report that references the desired weather data
variables (report block type = GLOBAL provides access to most, if not
all?, of the weather data streams). Simulate the model, and once
completed, select File - Export Hourly Results... This will generate
(and open) a CSV file with the specified weather data streams.<br>
