John,

In the Site/Project/Utility Component block of the DD wizard, the Electric and
Gas Utility Rate Charges screens each have a disk icon to allow saving of the
rate structures.  Do it once then the next time you use the DD wizard, they will
be there to select on the General Information screen.  I believe the rate folder
files are only available from within the wizard to be pulled into the wizard
created inp file.  I do not believe you can reference them like a library item.

Subject: [Equest-users] Developing "cook book" utility rates for
eQuest

Hi Folks:

Something I haven't done yet.

One apparently can "cook up" canned electric, gas, oil, steam (etc)
rates in eQuest and place them in the Rates folder for use at any time. I
understand that .ewr is electric and .gwr is gas. I have not seen any other
rates extensions allowed.

Has anyone built their own library of rates? Do you develop the rates in an
.INP file, cut out the rate to paste to another file, then give it an
appropriate extension?

Hopefully a slow week for many, so perhaps an answer.

John:

There is some sample utility rate files in the ClimateMaster eQUEST add-on
(under the "rates folder").

BTW, I did not heard back from you after I replied your questions about your
GSHP simulation. I'm wondering how the simulation going?

Happy new year!

Folks,

I have a basic question about the results page on the consumptions and
headings.

Under headings:  HP Supp.  What is this showing?  Is it supplemental
heat pump energy?

What are the multiplying factors for kWh and Btu?  Am I supposed to
multiply the kWh by 1,000 or 100?

Am I supposed to multiply the Btu by 1 Million or 100,000?

I'm used to single family home modeling, so I do not have an idea of the
range of consumption I should be looking at.

Thanks,
