[Equest-users] Perplexing error

John,

I downloaded your pd2 file and got the same wizard error – no ShellWiz, and something about the BDL file not being able to write space parameters.  Since your issue is isolated to when you copy the 3rd floor I looked there and noticed that your zone groups assignments are all set to 0%, so despite defining zones in window 13 defining zones, window 14 was preventing the zone assignments.  Once you assign your zones to the groups the issues should be resolved.  I included a picture of the fourth floor with a roof at the bottom to show the wizard compiles the geometry without errors if done correctly.

Hi all:

This building is intended to be 6 stories high. I am still in the DD Wizard. This is a no brainer multi family building. I create the P-1 floor, then Floor 1. I copied Floor 1 into Floor 2, shortening the windows. I then copied Floor 2 into Floor 3.

When I attempt to copy Floor 4 from Floor 3, the run says the ShellWiz has no components, blows up the run.

As far as I know, I have done nothing different than in other similar buildings.

Any suggestions? Portland TMY3 weather file also attached
