The doe2.com website is still being maintained but there have been issues with the server. There are plans to bring up a new server.

The website is up at the time of this email at www.doe2.com<http://www.doe2.com> and the newest version (3.65 build 7175 released Nov. 2018) is available for download.

eQUEST is still very useable (stable, capable and free) and I think it should be considered as one of the tools-in-the-drawer for most energy modeling workflows. The new version with DOE-2.3 has improved capabilities with DOAS and VRF with the same output formats, so it is a great tool to use for clients that are familiar and comfortable with it.

Between the eQUEST wizards and the extensive help documentation, you can get started easily without having to take formal training, especially if you are already familiar with energy modeling. I'm not sure who is doing training in California. karpmanconsulting.net holds occasional classes in the greater NYC area.

Interestingly enough, eQuest appears to be unavailable due to the DOE2 web site being out of service.

I am aware of the various issues regarding eQuest, including Energy-Plus being the replacement, etc., but some potential clients are familiar with eQuest and I am trying to get back up to speed (the majority of my work has been done using EnergyPro).

So is eQuest just permanently out of service and unusable?

I am looking for recommendations for Equest training.  What would you recommend?

Thanks for your help.
