[Equest-users] FW: eQuest Toolbar Icons too Small

In response to Fiona's query regarding very small interface with a new laptop, I'm forwarding this thread from [bldg.-sim] archives... I have a hunch for what's going on as I dealt with something similar a few years back after moving to a high-res but small dimension screen and windows 8.1 in one go.

This may be dated with you using Windows 10, but I suspect a similar fix will end up helping the interface scale properly with your screen.

Hi Bob,

I've had the same "interface for ants" problem for some time now with my SP3 (starting with Windows 8.1), but I just found a solution in this guide: http://www.danantonielli.com/adobe-app-scaling-on-high-dpi-displays-fix/

Requires a single registry edit addition, then copying a text file he provides and renaming it to eQUEST.exe.manifest and placing alongside the eQUEST.exe executable (for me in C:\Program Files (x86)\eQUEST 3-65). No rebooting required.

The result is on par with what I'm used to on 1920 x 1080 displays & similar. Not quite large enough to make touchscreen navigation super easy, but definitely much more navigable with a mouse.

This should work to fix other scaling problems on a per-application basis for other platforms/software as well.

I am using a MS Surface Pro 4 with has a rather fine resolution at 2736 x 1842. This has apparently caused the toolbar at the top of the eQuest program to show very small icons, and available adjustments do not help. Is anyone aware of a way to increase the icon size on the toolbar?

Thank you,
