Hi Grant,

Check the USRLib.dat file in C:\DEER2020\MASControl3\DOE2\exe\DOE23 (assuming that's where you installed MASControl3).

Hey Christopher,

Yeah, ideally that's would I would like to do. I'm unsure how to define the curves though. It looks like the .inp references a library item, but I've dug through the .dat files and can't find the data. If I could find the syntax I could script a "New Curve 1, 2, etc," and reference it in the .inp like you said.

As an example, here's a picture of how a packaged units EIR as a function of PLR is defined:

Do you have any idea where the "PSZ65to135_CEIR_fPLR data it?

Thanks,

You could define a bunch of curves with different names in the .inp file. Then use a Global Parameter and a Keyword expression to switch the curve on each parametric run. Use a switch statement keyword expression to change the curve for each parametric run.

Hello,

I am currently using MASControl3 and eQuest 3.65 (October 2018 release) and I would like to define my own performance curves for building HVAC systems. I am confused by the changes to the .inp files in the new release. In previous versions of eQuest, I was able to specify Global Parameters and automatically update the HVAC system's performance curve coefficients (see DXAC_INP_Old, attached). Now, however, it seems that performance curves are called from a library within the eQuest data (see DXAC_INP_New, attached). So far, I have been unable to find where that library is.

I would like to locate the library and write a python script to update the performance curve coefficients on multiple model runs. Does anyone know where I might find this data?

Thank you,
