Hello folks,
Has anyone ever succeeded in creating a « working » chiller on a secondary cooling loop? By working I mean that the chiller takes some loads and provides cooling.
My building has some chillers on secondary loops (for heat-recovery purpose) that takes a part of the load and the rest is taken by the main chillers on the primary loop.
I've tried to model this in eQUEST but I can't ever seem to get the chillers on the secondary loop to take any load.
My plan B is to break down my secondary loops into multiple primary loops and model multiple downsized "main" chillers on each loop. I'm not so found of this solution though since it will screw the part load calculation of the main chillers.
Anyone has another great idea or a way to actually make chilllers on secondary loop take some load?
