Hello Nick,
Yes, that worked.

I copied the eQUEST 3.65 Projects and eQUEST 3.65 Data folders from My Documents on the remote server to my local machine.

Then I edited the eQUEST.ini file in Program Files (x86)\eQUEST 3.65 to point to those new locations.

It runs much faster now.

Hi Chris,

You could try moving the eQuest 3-65 Data and eQuest 3-65 Projects directories from your Documents (or My Documents) directory to somewhere local (like your desktop), then update the contents of eQUEST.ini (located next to your executable) to point at the new locations.

Maybe it'll end up another few times faster ;-).

I am trying to run 3.65 on XP installed on an Oracle VM box. The host OS is Windows 7 64 bit. 3.64 installed and runs fine but 3.65 gives an error when I try to run it: "The application filed to initialize properly".

Why don't I simply run 3.65 on the host machine you may ask? It's because my Documents folder is on a server some distance away and 3.65 runs very slowly. In the tests with 3.64, running on the VM is about 10 times faster than on the host machine.
