[Equest-users] Water side economizers and Dx Cooling

Jacob,
There is another kind of waterside economizer you can model in eQUEST. It is a cooling coil in the system air stream that attaches to the condenser water loop, allowing cooling without running the DX compressor. You assign it at the SYSTEM and it uses keywords with "WSE" in them.
You need to use realistic values for airside coil static pressure and waterside coil head to allow for fan and pump energy penalties.

Bill

Subject: [Equest-users] Water side economizers and Dx Cooling

Dear list,
I have been asked to model a package of ECM's that include both air side
and water side economizers. The model utilizes PSZ air side system with
Dx cooling via water cooled condensers. Are these two types of
economizers mutually exclusive? Can water side economizers be modeled
without the presence of a chiller to bypass?

Thanks,
Jacob
