The Sequence of Operations should include the control sequence for the snow melt system. A typical sequence might stipulate, “When OAT is below 35°F and on detection of snow or rain, start the snow melt pump”. I use the hourly weather data in a spreadsheet to determine the number of hours the system is running. Note, the CWEC weather files include the snow/rain flag. I am not sure if the EPW files include this flag.
