[Equest-users] Issue with SS-K Report

When I run the file, the only months I see 0 for the difference between temperature of OA & room air is when the fan run hours are also 0 for those months.

You have -999 for all hours of the fan schedule.

From the manual:
A value of -999 defines an optimum start period of up to six hours. During this period the fan start
time is delayed until the fan run time matches that needed to meet the desired zone temperatures.
Notice that this decision is made on an hourly basis, whereas in the real world it is made on much
smaller increments (ten minutes or less). For the hourly calculation, the number of hours needed to
bring each zone on the system up or down to its set point is estimated. If the number of such hours
for the majority of the zones is equal to or greater than the number of hours remaining in the start
period, the fans are turned on. The target zone temperatures used in the calculation are the heating and
cooling set point temperatures given in HEAT-TEMP-SCH and COOL-TEMP-SCH that correspond
to the first hour following the scheduled optimum start period.

Hello all,


I have created identical

"Minimum OA Schedule" for the baseline case and the proposed

design.  The schedule type is

"Frac/Design" and have values of "0" when the outside air

damper closed, and "-999" for other time of the day. After simulation

runs, SS-K report of the baseline case model shows the difference between temperature

of OA & room air “fan on hours” but this value in the SS-K report of the

proposed design is “0”. Please find the attached pd2 and inp files of the model.

I was wondering if anyone could have look at the model and let me know if I

missed something.
