Dear Vishal,
The Baseline case fan power has to be calculated as per the system type
considered in the Baseline Case.
The Baseline Case System type has to be considered from the table G3.1.1A.
The system type consideration in the Baseline Case is as per the number of
floors, building type, conditioned area and type of heating system in the
building.
Now when the Baseline Case system is achieved the Baseline case fan power
is considered from the table G3.1.2.9. For system type 1 and 2 the baseline
case fan power is taken from the section G3.1.2.9 (0.0003 kW/cfm).
The fan power for ventilation and exhaust fans is considered under
miscellaneous load. The savings under this category is achieved by having
some exceptional calculations.
If the proposed case ventilation or exhaust fan is having two speed to
variable flow motors then we can adjust the schedules to have energy
savings in the proposed case.
The schedules for ventilation and exhaust fans can be altered depending
upon the number of occupied hours and the need of building or space type to
have the fans to be operating at lower speeds.
The Baseline case fan is being to have the constant flow based schedules.
This has been accepted by USGBC in past for parking fan loads.Hope this
might be helpful. To not to have a heck you can use same fan power and
schedules in both the cases.
Thanks,
