Energy Analyst / Sustainability Consultant
This is a junior level position that will ideally grow into a project management role for the qualified employee within 12-18 months. Supervision and training provided. Tasks for this position include data analysis, construction document review, contractor submittal review of envelope components and mechanical equipment, and testing and inspecting for quality control on construction sites. Additionally, this role will complete administrative functions such as spreadsheet maintenance, photo documentation, and project tracking. To accomplish the aforementioned responsibilities, this position will regularly interface with external members of these project teams.
Desired candidate will be:
Interested in and have a baseline understanding of building science
Strong in quantitative analysis skills
Self-driven and resourceful
Extremely well organized and detail oriented
An independent thinker/worker able to multitask and manage time effectively
An eager and fast learner
A team player who is able to take and implement direction
Strong in verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills
Comfortable on construction sites
Comfortable with technology
Preferred qualifications include:
Understanding of energy-efficiency and building science principles
Familiarity with building diagnostic testing (blower door, duct blaster, etc.)
Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, DHW, envelope, etc.)
Familiarity with construction drawings
BPI-certified
