[Equest-users] Identical Vertices Error

If you do show duplicate vertices obviously the duplicates need to be deleted.

This can be done in wizard mode when specifying the building shell but I believe you can also alter polygons in detail edit mode.

While in Detail Edit mode, Click on the “building shell” element in equest and scroll down to “polygons” in the component tree on the left hand side.

You will then see a listing of the polygons.  If you double click these, you can see the coordinates for each and make changes as needed.

Obviously E17 Space Polygon 10 would be one that needs editing.

To remove an entry, you can simply delete OR you can right click and select “Restore Default”.  Restore Default will delete the vertex completely.

Keep in mind that once you go from Detail Edit mode to Wizard mode a lot of the changes you’ve made in Detail Edit will be removed and have to be reentered.
So once you are in Detail Edit, try to keep it in detail edit (ideally).

I would also save a copy of the current equest file before attempting changes.

Hello All -

I am working a multistory office building. After creating the zones in the wizard mode, I am getting the following errors:

E17Space Polygon 10:
two vertices are identical

I have this errors fro 4 more polygons. Any inputs on how to fix this error?

In the BDL error manager I am able to click on the error, which opens up the box with the polygon details.
