[Equest-users] PV-A Report Differences

Hi Marcus,

I will like to mention the auto-sizing formula for various loops which is
500 X GPM X delta T.

For primary and secondary loops the delta T is 12 degree Fahrenheit and
based on auto-sizing the loop flow is 1370.6 GPM and Cooling capacity (500
X GPM X delta T) is 8.300 MBtuh.(500 X 1370.6 X 12 ).

The design delta T input is provided in the CHW and CW loops. In your case
the design delta T is 12 and 10 degree Fahrenheit for CHW and CW loop
respectively.
This delta T is nothing but the loop design temperature differences. You
can have a look at the inputs in various loops. There is design temperature
and loop design delta T.
Also, as per my understanding the water side is as a result of the
auto-sizing of air-side and both are dependent up-to certain extent.

............................................................................................................................

The pumps have mainly pump curves to design and help operate the flow as
per efficiencies and heads. Head is nothing but the height or the pressure
due to friction above which the Pump power should help to surpass.
There are various pump curves available for various makers and design.
Pump curves are helpful in designing of the flow, head and other things of
various pumps.
...........................................................................................................................

Lastly i think there have been two chillers having being distributed
equally in the Loop water flow.So the CHW and CW loops are equally
distributed in the parallel primary equipment.I think both the equipments
are parallel.
I have tried to help from my side.

Thanks,
Sharad.Kumar.

Subject: [Equest-users] PV-A Report Differences
Hello,

Can anyone explain why the flow rates expressed in the PV-A reports do not
agree between the “Circulation Loop”, “Pumps”, and “Primary Equipment”
headings.

I have a baseline model for LEED in which all of the flows would be
autosized, but the flow under each heading is different. I have attached
the PV-A report of the model run for reference.

Thanks in advance,
