<a href="https://buildingtechnologypress.com/">Climate-Driven Design I</a>. Part one covers energy benchmarking approaches, introduces the basics of weather file analysis and compares various thermal comfort theories. The second part focusses on building energy
modeling, going in turn through usage schedules, thermal mass effects and heat transfer through walls and windows. Forum regulars may gravitate towards the final chapter which dives into transient heat flow simulation assumptions made by BEM tools such as
EnergyPlus. What does the “Full interior and exterior” solar distribution option actually do? Should I use “DOE2” for external and “TARP” for internal surfaces? Does it matter? There are not many online gatherings where one would dare to raise such questions.
