<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The Welsh School of Architecture of Cardiff University is currently seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant or Research Associate to join our team and work with Prof Zhiwen Luo on an exciting EPSRC-funded
IAA project. The project aims to quantify the urban overheating risk and vulnerability in Reading, UK, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in this field, and work with local government to influence
the heat resilience policy in the region. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"> </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The ideal candidate will hold a qualification (see essential criteria) in a relevant subject area such as urban meteorology, physical geography, engineering, architectural and urban science, or a related field.
They will have a strong background in urban heat exposure research including but not limited to urban heat modelling/mapping/remote sensing/heat-health nexus. The successful candidate will be passionate about applying these tools to real-world practices and
making a positive impact. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
