This live webinar workshop will teach you to perform an outdoor urban wind analysis with CFD from Grasshopper3D. The main objectives will be to learn how to</span><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;"></span><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;">
set up an outdoor study with BF from beginning to end. This will involve quite a lot of time spent actually understanding what happens under the hood. Geometry preparation, case preparation, meshing and running will be considered. Even though BF was created
to avoid text files and terminals, we will spend some time understanding the text files and the terminal output, which is an important source of information for our studies. Meshing, being perhaps the most important part of a CFD study, will also be analyzed,
common pitfalls explained, and a common meshing methodology of outdoor urban studies will be included.

<span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;">Theodore Galanos is Head of Building Physics and Computational Design at NEOPOLI. He is a holder of a Master’s degree in Industrial Ecology from the Technical University
of Delft, Netherlands. Driven by his strong connection with the principles of Sustainability and their implementation in the built environment he joined NEAPOLI as the Head of Research & Building Physics Department. He is in charge of developing and implementing
performance assessment frameworks and simulation tools for the built environment, focusing on energy optimisation, outdoor and indoor thermal comfort, natural and artificial lighting, wind assessment, and micro-climate optimisation. His industrial experience
involves Government-led research projects, formed to assess Biofuel production capabilities, opportunities, and barriers in Malaysia, using the Life Cycle Analysis framework.</span></p>
