Seems like this specific user actually has `Auto-Submitted:
auto-replied` in its email header. It would be good to at
least include that check: If this header is present, and its
value is anything else than "no" (and maybe "<code>auto-forwarded"</code>
too to cover somewhat broken clients like Lotus Domino) then
do not send a post acknowledgment.<br>
<br>
</div>
This header is specified in RFC 3834 (<a moz-do-not-send="true" href="https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3834" target="_blank">https://tools.ietf.org/html/r<wbr>fc3834</a>)
and is used by Gmail for example.<br>
<br>
</div>
This github wiki page is very interesting for going further: <a moz-do-not-send="true" href="https://github.com/jpmckinney/multi_mail/wiki/Detecting-autoresponders" target="_blank">https://github.com/jpmckinney/<wbr>multi_mail/wiki/Detecting-auto<wbr>responders</a><br>
<br>
<div>
<div><b>Worth noting that the real problem is the
mailbot/AutoResponder used to send the "Out of Office"
message that's broken/misconfigured in the first place</b>
and not respecting the most basic rules: check for
Auto-Submitted, Precedence and List-* headers before sending
an automated reply. Not sending multiple OOF replies to the
same recipient during the vacation (or at least not more
than once a day!) would also be a common courtesy...<br>
<br>
</div>
<div>Cheers,<br>

I'd be happy to help checking the mailman settings
