<p>Dear Colleagues, <br>
</p>
<p>I am writing to announce a deadline extension for our third
annual <a
href="http://diva4rhino.com/diva-day-2016/student-competition">DIVA-Day
Student Competition</a> until 3rd September 2016. This is two
weeks away from today. The aim of the student competition is to
award high quality designs driven through environmental
performance analysis, especially—but not limited to—daylight. The
winner each year receives a US$1500 stipend to attend DIVA Day and
present their project. This year, students will have the chance to
present alongside researchers and practitioners from Atelier Ten,
HOK, KieranTimberlake, KPF, Loisos + Ubbelohde, Transsolar and
others in Toronto, at the University of Toronto John H. Daniels
Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design. <br>
</p>
<p>Previous winners can be seen here: <a
href="http://solemma.net/DIVADay/2015/Presentations/20151023_DIVA%20Day%202015_QuekLim.pdf">Rest
(2015)</a> and <a

of Geometry, Daylighting and Structure in Perforated Screen
Walls (2014)</a>.</p>
<p>Please encourage your students to <a
href="http://diva4rhino.com/diva-day-2016/student-competition">submit</a>
their projects for consideration. The format is between 1 and 5
high quality slides. It is not a requirement that DIVA was used
during the analysis process.<br>
</p>
<p>It is also worth noting that <a
href="http://www.eventbee.com/v/diva-day-toronto">registration
is open</a> for the DIVA-Day conference as well as training
opportunities in simulation analysis and HDR photography.</p>
<p>Looking forward to seeing many of you in Toronto,</p>
