<font face="Times New Roman, Times, serif">Postdoc positions are
available at the French institute of science and technology for
transport, development and networks (IFSTTAR) on inverse modelling
and identification techniques for the assessment of building
energy performance.<br>
<br>
Based on recent research, the post-doctoral positions aim at
developing a performance assessment methodology based on a reduced
number of low-cost sensors and on inverse modelling. The research
topics include:<br>
1) Development of high efficiency algorithms for state-parameter
identification of source terms and parameters of thermal building
models.<br>
2) Development of real-time convergence analysis tools for robust
identification and control.<br>
3) Mass transfer modelling to enhance indoor environment quality
representation.<br>
4) Implementation of the algorithms on a hardware prototype for
experimental validation and demonstration purposes.<br>
5) Experimental validation campaigns on several test buildings.<br>

IFSTTAR (<a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="http://www.ifsttar.fr">www.ifsttar.fr</a>) is the leading research institute in
France in the fields of civil engineering and construction. The
Monitoring, Assessment and Computational Science department is
specialized in the development of intelligent instrumentation
systems for the performance assessment of civil engineering
structures and buildings. <br>
<br>
Applicants must have demonstrated expertise in numerical
simulation and computational science including inverse modelling
and optimization techniques. Experience in programming (Matlab,
Python, …) is required.<br>
<br>
The starting date is as soon as possible, and the term of the
contract is 12 months. The positions are located in Nantes or in
Paris. The salary is ~2300 € monthly gross.<br>
<br>
Applicants should send their curriculum vitae (publication list
included) and a statement of research interests by e-mail to:<br>
