<FONT style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt" size=3>With regard to the CSV extension of the new TMY3, i agree it is very useful and easy but to bypass using the TMY3-TMY2 convertor, the recent data sets can be compiled for the time being into TMY2 for usage by building simulation tools.<BR>

<DIV>It's useful to distinguish between TMY2 as a data set and as a data format. The selection procedure is basically the same between TMY, TMY2, and TMY3, with some changes in the weighting of parameters. This procedure has become adopted by virtually all other (US at least) efforts, including ASHRAE, CEC, etc. </DIV>
