There is a small software tools published with energyplus - after the installation of energyplus, you can find it under:<div><br></div><div>.\energyplus\PreProcess\WeatherConverter\Weather.exe</div><div><br></div><div>Then you can use this software converter your .epw file to .stat file. Then open the .stat file in any text edit tools, you can find the climate zone for this area.</div>
<div><br></div><div>But I find there will be some gaps between two calculation method:</div><div><ul><li>hand calculation in excel and followed the criteria in ASHRAE 90.1</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>the climate zone find from the .stat file which calculates by "WeatherConverter"</li>
