There is a good comparative treatment of those models in Duffie and
Beckman's <u>Solar Engineering of Thermal Processes</u>
(chapter 2). My understanding is that the Reindl model is adapted best
for south facing tilted surfaces (ie solar collectors) and that the
Perez model is adapted for more general surfaces (building facades).
There are a few different Perez models (updates that I am not sure are
treated in the Duffie and Beckman book)<br>

direct and diffuse solar radiation components from total solar
radiation. I have
been using the Reindl model for many years and I am reasonable happy
with it.
But, I’d like to get a feeling what other models are available and
