Hi Harry,<br><br>Have you had a look at Open Studio? <a href="http://openstudio.sourceforge.net/">http://openstudio.sourceforge.net/</a> <br>This is an open source plugin that turns Google Sketchup into a 3D interface for EnergyPlus. So you can of course read IDF files from within Sketchup , but also call E+ directly to simulate basic building descriptions. This is open source so there should not be any problem to re-use the code for your own prupose I guess.<br>
