Not sure if this is for permanent or temporary (research purposes).  If
the latter, Onset (<a href="http://www.onsetcomp.com">www.onsetcomp.com</a>)
makes some multi-circuit data loggers for power monitoring.  Also Dent
instruments.<br>

As far as low-cost monitoring of HVAC compressors, I have had good look by
simply monitoring amps (say a snapshot of amp draw every 90 seconds), and
combining w/ a one-time measurement of voltage and power factor.  On a daily
basis, the average of all those amperage measurements works out to a good
estimate of daily kWh within a percent or two (I've had a couple of
opportunities to cross-check against actual daily kWh).  It's much cheaper
(both in terms of equipment costs and installation time) to track amperage than
actual kWh or watts.<br>
